Customer Service Representative - Healthcare Call Center *Location:* Plymouth, MI
*Job Type:* Contract-to-Hire (6 Months) *Pay Rate:* $21.00/hour *Work Schedule:* Onsite About the Opportunity We are currently seeking motivated and customer-focused *Customer Service Representatives* to join a growing healthcare services organization. Position Overview As a Customer Service Representative, you will support members, providers, and customers by handling inbound calls related to healthcare and pharmacy benefit services. You will answer questions, provide information, document interactions accurately, and navigate multiple systems while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service. Representatives typically handle *50-100 calls per day*, depending on call complexity, and are measured on quality, accuracy, attendance, and customer service performance. Key Responsibilities * Answer a high volume of inbound customer calls. * Handle follow-up outbound calls when required. * Assist customers with prior authorization inquiries and general healthcare-related questions. * Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information. * Accurately enter and update customer information in multiple systems. * Document all customer interactions thoroughly and professionally. * Research and resolve customer concerns. * Meet productivity, quality, and accuracy standards. * Navigate several computer applications simultaneously while assisting callers. * Provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced call center environment. Required Qualifications * Minimum *1 year of recent high-volume call center experience* within the last 2-3 years. * Minimum *1 year of tenure* in previous positions. * Strong customer service and communication skills. * Proficient computer skills and ability to learn multiple systems. * Ability to type *30+ words per minute*. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy. * Ability to work effectively in a structured and metrics-driven environment. * Reliable attendance and punctuality. Preferred Qualifications * Healthcare or medical customer service experience. * Pharmacy, insurance, or benefits experience. * Pharmacy Technician Certification. * Bilingual skills. Training Training is required and attendance is mandatory. *Training Schedule:* * Monday-Friday * 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM * 4 weeks Participants must successfully complete training assessments with an average score of 90% or higher. Work Schedule Candidates must have availability within the following hours: * *7 days per week* * *Operating hours: 5:00 AM - 10:00 PM* A set schedule will be assigned after training based on business needs and performance. *Important:* Mandatory overtime is required during January and February.
