The Opportunity The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) is seeking an experienced and collaborative professional to serve as Assistant Registrar for Curriculum Management. This position plays a critical role in advancing effective curriculum operations by leading college-level curriculum management, catalog administration, policy compliance, and process improvement initiatives. The Assistant Registrar serves as the functional lead for curriculum-related registrar operations within CALS. This position ensures that curriculum data, course approvals, catalog content, degree requirement coding, governance actions, and related student-facing processes are accurate, timely, compliant, and aligned with university, state, federal, and accrediting requirements. The Assistant Registrar works closely with faculty, academic departments, curriculum committees, college leadership, and university partners to support thoughtful curriculum development and continuous improvement. This role provides expertise in curriculum policy interpretation, governance processes, and systems coordination while helping translate academic goals into compliant, student-centered, and operationally effective solutions. Key Responsibilities:
This is a full-time (40 hours/week), three-year term Contract College position based in Ithaca, NY, with the possibility of extension. This position follows a 4:1 campus-to-home hybrid work arrangement. This hybrid work arrangement is subject to change at any time. Work hours are 8:00am-4:30pm Monday through Thursday and 8:00am-3:30pm on Fridays. About the CALS Office of Academic Programs The unit provides support and oversight for the Office of Admissions, the Office of Student Services, the Office of Curriculum Development and Instructional Support (OCDIS), and the Professional Masters Programs. The office also oversees the curricular and compliance efforts across the college. Enrollment representatives within Cornell's colleges, schools, and units regularly collaborate and partner with the Enrollment Division to accomplish the University's enrollment goals.
