Location: Hybrid at our North America HQ in El Segundo, CA - expectations is 3 days/ week in the office

Travel: 10% - 15% across the US + Toronto, ON

We are seeking a Director Of Accounting to lead accounting operations across five legal entities and 4 sites in a complex, multi-country environment. This role provides strategic oversight for financial close, reporting, audits, internal controls, and accounting transformation, partnering closely with finance leadership and cross-functional teams. This is a high-impact leadership role with the opportunity to modernize regional accounting operations, influence strategy, and build a scalable, best-in-class organization.

What You'll Do

  • Lead end-to-end monthly close and reporting (US GAAP and German GAAP)
  • Oversee audits, statutory reporting, and technical accounting adoption
  • Drive standardization, automation, ERP enablement, and AI innovation
  • Strengthen internal controls, governance, and risk management
  • Lead and develop high-performing accounting teams across multiple locations

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience, including organizational design and building
  • high-performing teams across multiple sites
  • Multi-entity, multi-country accounting experience (US and statutory)
  • Strong US GAAP knowledge; ERP expertise (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
  • Proven experience leading ERP implementations and accounting transformations
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or business (CPA/MBA a plus)
