The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Missouri S&T is seeking a skilled and motivated machinist to support faculty, staff, and student projects. This position plays a key role in the fabrication of custom components and prototype systems for research laboratories, instructional activities, and student design teams. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with faculty, staff, and students on cutting-edge engineering projects, translating design concepts into high-quality manufactured parts, while maintaining a safe and efficient shop environment. The position holder would be a key member of team supporting a dynamic academic and research environment that values craftsmanship and innovation. Key Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary Preferred Qualifications
Anticipated Hiring Range
The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $22.10-$31.50 hourly. Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck. The University of Missouri provides generous leave, health plans, and retirement contributions that add to your bottom line.
