Position Overview

TheEnvironmentalSector Lead- South Atlantic Division is a highimpact, leadership role responsible forleading and supportingApex's environmental consulting business across our South Atlantic Division (Carolinas, Georgia, and Florida).

This role offers the opportunity to help shape Apex's environmental strategy in the South Atlantic bystrengthening service delivery across existing client relationships, deepening support to key existing accounts,expanding services tomunicipal and public-sectorclients,,andleveragingApex's national technical capabilities. TheSectorLead will collaborate closely with Division leadership, National Account Managers,Project Managers,and technical teamsto develop strategies for existing client accounts that allow for increased project opportunities andrevenue growth on these accounts.

Your Responsibilities as an Environmental Sector Lead:



  • Drive growth ofApex'sservices acrossexistingaccounts,with accountability for pipeline development, opportunity creation, and revenue generation; looking fora focus on site characterization, investigation, and remediationfor industrial/commercial and municipal clients.
  • Connect teams across Apex sectors within the South Atlantic to developcultureof cross-service collaborationthatstrengthens serviceto existing client relationships.
  • Identify, with Division Leadership,existingdormant accounts and serve as a client-facingleaderincreasingactive engagement withtheseindustrial, commercial, and municipal clients.
  • Provide technical and strategic leadership on select environmental engagements, ensuring quality execution whilemaintaininga primary focus on client satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Work closely with National Account Managers and Commercial Line Leaders to build andexecuteaccount planswith Project Managers across the Division.
  • Direct high-visibility projects, ensuring technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and successful environmental outcomes.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectivelyonkey technical concepts to regulators, stakeholders, andteamingpartners.
  • Manageexistingprogramandproject performance with a focus on quality, innovation, and client satisfaction.


What we're looking for:

Industry Experience



  • 12+ years ofexperience inenvironmental consulting or industry with progressive responsibilityinstrategy development.
  • Professional registration as a PE or PG inNorth Carolina, South Carolina,Georgiaor Florida
  • Proven success in client engagement,building opportunities through existing relationships,and managing complex environmental programs.
  • Deeptechnicalexpertisewith site characterization, investigation, remediation, and regulatory strategy.
  • Strong communicationskills - both technical and strategic - with a proven ability togain credibilitywith regulators, stakeholders, and clients.
  • A passion for mentoring, leadership, and advancing a culture of excellence and safety.
  • Client & Account Development ExperienceDemonstrated successexpandingclientrelationships,developingopportunitiesthrough cross-selling across multiple service lines, anddeepening service to existing accounts.
  • Track recordofidentifyingopportunities,anddelivering high-quality service that strengthens existing clientrelationships..
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to align technical solutions to client business needs.
  • Commitment to a growth mindset and longterm client relationship development
