Your role

Mission:

Provide support for compressor system design, application engineering, and proposal generation for OHP and GPP business lines under AGA division.

Manage project execution to achieve client satisfaction in terms of documentation, technical requirements and on-time project delivery

Roles and Responsibilities:

Technical Applications Support - Provide support for compressor system design, application engineering, and proposal generation for high pressure gas compressor systems for OHP/GPP product line along with integrated solution from the AIF, AII, and QAS Divisions.



  • Review and respond to customer inquiries and specifications on a timely basis.
  • Design compressed air systems to meet customer requirements.
  • Develop proposals for high pressure gases systems.
  • Assist sales as needed to promote Atlas Copco customized solutions and products.
  • Customer contact as needed to support proposals and contracts.
  • Coordinate with global teams, stack-holders for proposal, contracting and execution phase
  • Travel to customer sites and make presentations as necessary.


Project Management - Provide customer support during the post-order phase by promptly addressing customer queries and ensuring customer satisfaction. Manage, guide, and motivate project resources to ensure efficient execution and successful project completion.



  • Your mission will also include raising internal sales orders and operating SAP Procedures from order to dispatch milestones with our product companies globally.
  • Responsible for raising purchase orders with sub-suppliers. Check and authorize invoices. Co-ordinate and expedite materials, documents, inspections, delivery etc. Coordinate customer's expeditors and any external inspectors, including any necessary documentation. Provide production schedules when required. Facilitate order amendments. Keep open lines of communication by attending progress meetings. Generate special payment invoices and prepare manuals (operations and maintenance) as necessary.
  • Co-ordinate and attend (if required and possible) witness testing. Prepare monthly reports detailing status and issues of all current orders being handled. Monitor order costs and keep management aware of any potential liabilities.


Customer Technical Support - Provide support pertaining to delivery of equipment, drawings, and document submittals. This may be achieved in some cases by getting Global Atlas Copco Engineering involved as well as any outside vendor engineering that is involved with an order. Perform other duties as assigned.

Contribute to positive Company branding by projecting a knowledgeable, professional, and customer-oriented image to customers.

Perform all duties in accordance with Atlas Copco standards, while always striving to understand the needs and expectations of the customer.

Take initiative to ensure successful project completion by proactively addressing challenges and facilitating effective communication with all relevant stakeholders and team members.

Perform other duties as assigned.


To succeed, you will need

Qualifications:

Supervisory Responsibility

None

Experience

A minimum of 2 years' experience in application engineering, with specific experience in applications for rotating and/or reciprocating equipment.

2-3 years of experience in Project / Contracts Management is a plus.

Education

Bachelor's (4-year) degree in mechanical engineering or related field, and/or equivalent education and training.

Skills

Must be an independent self-starter, with excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), analytical, and problem-solving skills. Must be willing to work closely with a team. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. AutoCad experience is a plus. Knowledge of SAP is a plus. Must display the ability to learn other programs quickly. Must be able to read pneumatic/hydraulic flow diagrams and general arrangement drawings. Understanding electrical drawings is a plus. Some travel to customer sites is required.

Travel

Up to 20% local travel, up to 10% overnight travel in a month.

  • Salary Range is $95k - $104k based on experience, knowledge, and skills. Additional technical training is provided for the most qualified candidate.


Job location


This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our Corporate office.
