Description We are seeking to hire a full-time Pulmonary Function Lab Coordinator to join our Respiratory Team and help support high-quality patient care in a fast paced pulmonary Function Laboratory. You will support daily operations of our Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) Labs. You will serve as a key point of contact for patients, providers, and clinical staff by coordinating appointments, managing patient records, supporting administrative functions, and ensuring efficient clinic operations. Key responsibilities include:
  • Schedule Pulmonary Function and Exercise Physiology testing appointments using the electronic medical record system.
  • Coordinate testing appointments around patients' other medical appointments when needed.
  • Contact patients to confirm appointments and provide pre-test instructions.
  • Greet and assist patients upon arrival.
  • Process patient encounters and update registration information in the electronic medical record.
  • Scan and upload documents into patient medical records.
  • Process and route patient reports.
  • Order and maintain inventory of office and clinical supplies.
  • Prepare, format, and edit correspondence, reports, presentations, and departmental documents.
  • Assist with administrative support activities for laboratory leadership and staff.
  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain required forms and supplies.
Salary range: $30.36/hr - $43.49/hr
Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a healthcare, medical office, hospital, or clinic environment
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to interact professionally with patients, families, visitors, physicians, and staff from diverse backgrounds
  • Experience scheduling patient appointments (preferred)
  • Experience working with electronic health records (EHR/EMR) systems such as Epic/CareConnect (preferred)
  • Familiarity with healthcare registration, patient encounter management, and medical documentation processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn and navigate electronic medical record (EMR) and healthcare information systems
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to changing priorities, and work effectively in a fast paced environment
  • Experience supporting pulmonary, respiratory, or other clinical diagnostic services (preferred)
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information
  • Ability to work primarily in a seated position while using computer for extended periods
  • Ability to occasionally stand, walk, stop, and lift or carry items weighing up to 15 pounds
