Overview

DecisionPoint seeks an Information Assurance Manager to provide cybersecurity and compliance support for the U.S. Air Force Executive Airlift Communications Network program. The IA Manager will oversee vulnerability management, cybersecurity compliance, and Information Assurance activities supporting EACN operational and test environments.

The IA Manager will coordinate cyber order implementation, vulnerability scanning, remediation tracking, security reporting, and technical support for maintaining the network's authorization and security posture.

This position requires on-site performance at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Information Assurance Manager will:

    Manage the EACN Information Assurance Vulnerability Management program.
  • Review USCYBERCOM and Air Force cyber orders to determine applicability and required actions.
  • Coordinate implementation of security patches, updates, mitigations, and configuration changes.
  • Conduct weekly and incident-driven vulnerability scans using approved Government tools, including ACAS.
  • Analyze scan results and coordinate remediation of identified vulnerabilities.
  • Track cybersecurity compliance and prepare required security-compliance reports.
  • Maintain vulnerability and compliance information in VMS, CMRS, ACT, and related Government systems.
  • Support the EACN Information System Security Manager and Government engineers with cybersecurity documentation and technical analysis.
  • Provide technical support for acquiring and maintaining the EACN Authority to Operate.
  • Perform first-responder scans and support post-notification investigations and network-defense incident reporting.
  • Review firewall, DNS, intrusion-detection, syslog, and other security data as required.
  • Verify that security changes are tested in the Systems Integration Laboratory before operational implementation.
  • Coordinate cybersecurity activities with network, systems, voice, and Government security personnel.
  • Maintain accurate records of findings, corrective actions, implementation status, and residual risks.
  • Ensure compliance with DISA STIGs, Air Force requirements, and applicable Department of Defense cybersecurity policies.


Qualifications

Clearance Requirement:

Must hold an active Secret clearance.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Assurance, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum five years of information assurance, cybersecurity, or vulnerability-management experience.
  • Experience conducting vulnerability scans and managing remediation activities.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense cybersecurity compliance and classified systems.
  • Experience processing cyber orders, security directives, patches, and technical mitigations.
  • Experience supporting authorization activities and cybersecurity documentation.
  • Experience in Air Force or other mission-critical operational environments preferred.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of vulnerability management, security compliance, incident response, and continuous monitoring.
  • Experience with ACAS, DISA STIGs, VMS, CMRS, ACT, or comparable security tools.
  • Familiarity with RMF, ATO sustainment, cybersecurity artifacts, and security-control implementation.
  • Understanding of network, server, firewall, intrusion-detection, DNS, and logging technologies.
  • Knowledge of USCYBERCOM, DISA, Air Force, and Department of Defense cybersecurity requirements.

Certifications:

  • ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification required at the time of contract award.
  • Appropriate DoDM 8140.03 and IAM Level II certification required.
  • Additional cybersecurity or RMF certifications preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong cybersecurity analysis and risk-management abilities.
  • Excellent technical documentation and reporting skills.
  • Strong attention to compliance, accuracy, and remediation tracking.
  • Ability to coordinate cybersecurity actions across technical teams.
  • Ability to perform duties on-site at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois.

Compensation: Anticipated salary range is $82,569.00-$91,870.00 per year
