Editorial Producer
Location: Culver City, CA (Hybrid)
Duration: 5-Month Contract
Pay Rate: $61.94/hour
Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Editorial Producer to support global music campaigns and editorial initiatives within a fast-paced digital media environment. This role is responsible for managing production workflows, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of content supporting music programming and campaigns. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment and brings strong project management, production coordination, and organizational skills. You'll work closely with editorial, production, marketing, and business teams to drive operational excellence while helping improve production processes and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality digital content. Please note: This role may require occasional work outside standard business hours, including scheduled on-call weekend support, to meet production needs.
Responsibilities
Production & Project Management
- Manage day-to-day production activities supporting music campaigns and editorial initiatives.
- Coordinate the setup, creation, and delivery of production assets across multiple projects.
- Maintain production timelines and ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Monitor project status and proactively identify risks or potential roadblocks.
Asset & Content Management
- Establish and communicate naming conventions, folder structures, and organizational standards.
- Maintain production trackers and ensure metadata standards are consistently applied.
- Coordinate digital assets and production deliverables across multiple stakeholders.
- Verify content accuracy and completeness prior to delivery.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Editorial, Production, Marketing, Business, and Operations teams to execute campaign priorities.
- Build strong working relationships across cross-functional teams to facilitate efficient project execution.
- Provide production support to editorial teams and producers as needed.
- Communicate project updates, milestones, and risks clearly to stakeholders.
Reporting & Process Improvement
- Prepare executive summaries, status reports, and production updates for leadership.
- Track project progress and communicate completed deliverables.
- Escalate issues and key decisions when appropriate to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to improve production workflows, tools, and operational processes.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of scalable production standards and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in production, project management, or content operations within the digital media, music, entertainment, or streaming industries.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience coordinating digital assets, production workflows, and content deliverables.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and evolving business needs.
- Experience preparing reports, project summaries, and executive communications.
- High proficiency with Apple productivity applications, particularly Keynote.
- Passion for music, entertainment, digital media, and popular culture.

- Experience supporting editorial or content production teams.

Education
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
