Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent and 2 years of professional experience |
| Preferred Qualifications |
UHC Minimum:
*1 year of experience in a diagnostic Radiology department.
*Graduate of an accredited Radiography program required; RT
ARRT required.
*Experience with digital radiography and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (
PACS).
UHC Preferred:
*2+ years of experience in a Diagnostic Radiology department.

| Position Summary |
The Radiologic Technologist is an integral part of the Radiology Department and reports to the Radiology Manager. This position is primarily responsible for performing radiographic diagnostic procedures as ordered by authorized
UHC and Non-
UHC Clinicians. In collaboration with the Radiology Manager, this position's overall impact is to ensure the delivery of safe, accurate, and high-quality diagnostic imaging services through effective patient instruction, adherence to established safety standards, and proper operation of medical equipment to support optimal patient outcomes. |

* Demonstrated ability to follow both verbal and written instructions accurately.
* Effective communication skills when interacting with patients, visitors and employees within the organization.
* Strong working knowledge of diagnostic radiography techniques and procedures. |
| Physical Demands |
Regularly perform physical activities such as standing, walking short distances, reading, and typing, with frequent transitions between sitting and standing. Duties may include pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, squatting, and kneeling as needed. Able to remain standing for up to 30 consecutive minutes. |

Patient Care:
* Performs a variety of routine radiologic procedures based on written order of
UHC clinicians, physicians, and external providers.
* Registers patients for imaging procedures and ensures images are properly routed to the ordering provider and radiologist for interpretation.
* Maintains accurate patient records and generates image copies of images from
PACS as needed.
* Ensure examination rooms and work areas organized and sanitized to support effective infection control.
* Assist with transporting patients to clinic when necessary.
* Completes other duties as assigned.

* Answers telephone calls, address inquiries and directs callers to appropriate personnel as needed.
* Collects and enters patient demographic, health, and procedural information into the electronic health records.
* Provides guidance and instruction to Radiology Students.
* Maintains radiology equipment to ensure optimal performance and image quality.
* Communicates effectively with patients, families, and
