Reasons Eating Disorder Center (Reasons) is seeking candidate professionals, preferably with previous experience working with eating disorders, trauma, substance use and LGBTQIA+ communities, to provide compassionate care to our diverse patients for our residential treatment facilities located in beautiful, intimate six-bed houses in the Pasadena and the Arcadia neighborhoods of the Los Angeles area.

Job Description:

The Program Director provides on site operational and clinical leadership to the inpatient, residential and outpatient eating disorder programs to ensure excellence in patient care, successful execution of the program mission and philosophy, and enhance operational efficiency. This position is responsible for building an effective team of leaders, maintaining knowledge of the eating disorder treatment landscape, representing Reasons in the community and ensuring the Reasons program is delivering quality programming that meets clinical and regulatory standards. This position will provide clarity of roles and responsibilities develop measures of accountability and determine priorities to meet both clinical and fiscal goals. The Director will have the ability to work effectively in collaboration with all hospital departments and be action-oriented.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • In coordination with CEO and other facility leaders contribute to the development of the short- and long-term strategic planning for effective functioning, development and growth activity of the eating disorder program.
  • Accountability for clinical services and performance, working directly with leadership in the programs and the hospital to enhance the services delivered.
  • Oversee and provide consultation and direction to the Reasons admissions staff as needed on challenging cases to determine level of care and removing barriers to admissions.
  • Accountability for budgeted goals and staffing parameters to meet fiscal goals, evaluating performance and implementing changes as needed.
  • Provide guidance to managing directors in identifying and addressing clinical and operational challenges
  • Recruit and train, and appraise personnel for management level positions, leading the team of managing directors and creating a positive team culture, cultivating their growth and success.
  • Organize and effectively lead staff meetings.
  • Consult on challenging clinical cases and provide guidance and direction as needed.
  • Analyze, identify issues, removing barriers and implement new processes related effective and efficient delivery of care and achievement of goals.
  • Interface with hospital department heads collaboratively.
  • Build strong relationships both internally and externally to support employees, patients and, payors, and referral sources.
  • Evaluate staffing needs and ensure appropriate staffing is maintained.
  • Participate in talent cultivation and retention activities.

Qualifications

Requirements/Qualifications:

Licensure: Master's Degree required and license preferred in one of the following: Registered Nurse, Registered Dietitian, or Licensed Psychologist, Social Worker, or Marriage and Family Therapist or related license meeting eligibility criteria.

Education: Degree from an accredited program in field of study.

Experience: Minimum of five years managerialexperience required, preferably in a psychiatric or residential treatment facility. For a specialty program (for example, Eating Disorders) experience with that population, is preferred. In lieu of experience specialized education and training may be acceptable.

Additional Requirements: This position is required to work flexible hours and participate in an on-call rotation.
