Job Description

The Production Artist executes routine creative tasks and production assignments under direct guidance. Performs routine assignments using existing procedures to ensure all materials meet technical specifications and brand standards. Focuses on high-volume adaptation and accurate file preparation while exchanging straightforward information within the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Executes high-volume adaptation of master design templates into multiple sizes, aspect ratios, and formats.
  • Performs technical quality checks on project files, ensuring precise typography and color profiles.
  • Prepares final, production-ready files based on exact supplied technical specifications.
  • Maintains the integrity of digital asset management systems by following standardized filing procedures.
  • Monitors individual task progress to ensure high-volume deliverables meet established deadlines.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field (or equivalent experience required).
  • 1-year previous experience in production or design services.
  • Proficiency in core design and production software.
  • Basic understanding of print and digital technical specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow prescribed checklists.
  • Foundational knowledge of layout, typography, and color theory.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.

Additional Information

Thesalary range for this role at the noted RRD location is $25.24 - $36.78 / hour. Starting pay decisions are determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, skills, experience, certifications, proficiency, performance, shift, location, and other business needs.Typically, roles follow step progressions to a target rate or set increments over time. Depending on the role, in addition to the hourly rate of pay, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and/or stand-by pay. RRD's benefit offerings include medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, disability insurance, 401(k) with company match, life insurance and other voluntary supplemental insurance coverages, plus parental leave, adoption assistance, tuition assistance and employer/partner discounts.
