The Fleet Planning Specialist is responsible for daily interactions within the organization with a focus on utilization, efficiency, and overall fleet movement in the most cost-efficient way possible and in alignment with core business values. This position also monitors the effective utilization of assets while maintaining costs and area requirements.

Essential Functions
Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT's Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission Performs fleet inspections, branch audits, and inventories Executes purchasing and commissioning of rental assets, fixed assets, and licensed assets Track equipment utilization and trends by cat/class Performs audits on licensed assets to verify compliance with company policy Works with store operations to gather utilization information and machine trends along with maximizing the equipment life cycles Pull reports and provide summaries of regional fleet levels, utilization, average age and usage Coordinates and executes all transfers requested through internal customers for maximum efficiency and effective utilization Schedules, acquires, and coordinates attachments to meet the needs and expectations of the Texas First Rental's management and sales team Aide Fleet Department in updating and maintaining equipment specs and rental rates within the region and company Develops and maintains a thorough knowledge of both CAT and Allied products lines Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong technical aptitude and understanding of construction equipment and rental industry Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, financial markets, and the analysis and reporting of financial data Uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems Exceptional attention to detail Excellent oral and written communication skills Interpersonal skills sufficient to engage with vendors, own staff, and corporate executives to exchange information, influence and persuade Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills Advanced Microsoft Office skills to include Excel, Word, and PowerPoint The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects Ability to understand the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making Ability to perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division quickly and accurately Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
Requirements
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred Two or more years of related work-related skill, knowledge, or experience required; four or more years of experience preferred

This job is generally performed in a professional office environment Occasionally works outdoors and may be exposed to weather extremes conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity Noise level may be loud at times Exposure to small quantities of chemicals, steam, high-pressure water, and high-speed rotating equipment Frequently works at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions
