This role focuses on coordination, documentation, and ensuring HR and safety processes are executed accurately and efficiently.

Essential Functions
Model, promote, reinforce, and reward the consistent use of HOLT's Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission Work safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards Perform other duties as assigned
Employee Relations
Serves as a point of contact for basic employee questions related to HR policies and procedures Provides administrative and tracking support for performance management processes Assists with routine, non-complex employee relations matters Escalates employee relations concerns, investigations, and sensitive issues to HTC HR Leadership Tracks and maintains records of employee relations activities
Benefits Administration
Provides support for employee benefit inquiries Assists with employee benefit enrollments and system updates Supports open enrollment processes, including communication and data entry Maintains accurate benefit records
Recruiting & Onboarding
Assists with pre-employment processes (backgrounds, onboarding paperwork, etc.) Coordinates onboarding activities to ensure a smooth new hire experience Maintains applicant tracking system and recruitment records
Leave of Absence
Coordinates administrative tasks related to leave of absence programs (FMLA, ADA, etc.) Tracks leave documentation and deadlines Assists with employee communication regarding leave processes Escalates complex leave scenarios to HTC HR leadership
Safety Administration
Assists with safety-related administrative tasks and recordkeeping Assists with coordination of safety communications Partners with HTC Safety Manager to ensure compliance with company safety programs
Compliance & Administration
Maintains employee personnel files and ensures accuracy of HRIS data Assists with audits, reporting, and compliance tracking Supports policy updates and distribution of HR communications Performs general administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and reporting
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Basic knowledge of HR practices and employment laws Strong organizational and administrative skills Attention to detail and accuracy Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn HRIS systems Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to handle confidential information appropriately Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Ability to recognize when to escalate issues
Requirements
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required 1-3 years of administrative, HR, or related experience preferred Exposure to HR or safety processes preferred Bilingual (Spanish), preferred

Physical Requirements:
This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, occasional movement inside the office to access office machinery, file cabinets, etc. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets This position frequently communicates with employees and various business groups; Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
Work Environment:
This job is generally performed in a professional office; in environmentally controlled conditions, operating computer, manual dexterity, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion Frequently works at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions
