Position Title: Scientist

Work Location: South San Francisco, CA 94080

Assignment Duration: 12 Months

Work Schedule: Schedule onsite Monday through Friday, either 8:00 AM-5:00 PM or 9:00 AM-6:00 PM. Candidates must be local to South San Francisco and comfortable with daily commuting.

Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite


The ideal candidate will possess a PhD in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, or a related scientific discipline, with strong hands-on laboratory experience supporting complex cell-based assay development in an industry environment.

Position Summary: This laboratory-based Scientist role focuses on developing and executing cell-based high-content imaging assays to support our organization's small molecule drug discovery pipeline.

Background & Context: This position is 100% onsite and laboratory-based at our organization's South San Francisco (USSF) location. Remote work is not available.

Key Responsibilities:

* Developing and executing cell-based high-content imaging assays to support our organization's small molecule drug discovery pipeline.

Qualification & Experience:

* Cell culture techniques

* Cell treatment and transfection

* Immunohistochemistry staining

* High-content imaging analysis

* Experience with lab automation and complex image analysis are highly desirable. Familiarity with data analysis and visualization platforms such as Genedata Screener, TIBCO Spotfire, and GraphPad Prism is a plus.

This individual should bring expertise in cell culture techniques, assay troubleshooting, and high-content imaging methodologies, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced discovery setting. Candidates with prior exposure to high-content imaging assays, small molecule support work, and complex biological assay development are highly preferred.
