At Interstates, we're looking for a Communications Specialist in our Sioux Falls, SD or Sioux Center, IA offices who can help bring our culture, purpose, and people together through thoughtful, engaging communication. This role translates business priorities into clear, audience-focused communications and helps leaders effectively share initiatives and updates. By leveraging internal communication channels and best practices, the Communications Specialist drives employee awareness, understanding, and alignment. Develop and execute communication plans for organizational initiatives, programs, and projects, including messaging, channel selection, timing, and stakeholder coordination. Support leaders in effectively communicating priorities, initiatives, and organizational updates. Translate complex information into clear, audience-focused communications that support employee awareness, understanding, and engagement. Develop and manage content for internal communication channels and platforms, ensuring communications are accurate, engaging, and aligned with organizational priorities. Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to effectively manage communication timelines, deliverables, channels, and content calendars. Measure impact of communication activities and provide regular reporting. Support employee engagement and communication efforts for assigned business functions. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in relevant field or Associates Degree with 3-5 years of equivalent work experience. Strong communication, organizational and planning skills. Excellent computer skills, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Education: Bachelors or Associate's Degree in Marketing, Communication, HR, or Business-related field. Travel: 5%, with the Sioux Falls, SD and Sioux Center, IA as your home base.
