About This Role
The School of Human Sciences, within the College of Health and Human Sciences, is seeking Child Development Teachers to join their team at the Center for Child Development. This position will be responsible for planning and implementing daily programming for children from birth through 12 as part of the summer School-Age Program or in the absence of regularly staffed classroom teachers throughout the academic year. This position is responsible for working collaboratively to plan experiences and instruct children in a positive and professional learning environment using developmentally appropriate activities that promote social, physical, and intellectual growth. Child Development Teachers exercise active listening, instructing, reading comprehension, learning strategies, writing, social perceptiveness, time management, monitoring, and critical thinking skills. This position requires substantial communication with children, parents, and other staff members to facilitate a safe and stimulating learning environment.
