Department Summary The Department of Information Science is part of the University of North Texas (UNT), which is ranked a Tier One university by the Carnegie Classification. Degree programs in the Department of Information Science include undergraduate programs in information science and health informatics, master's programs in information science, health informatics, and library science and a PhD program in information science, as well as several non-degree certificates. Position Overview The Department of Information Science at the University of North Texas (UNT) invites applications for a lecturer position in Health Informatics and Health Librarianship. We are seeking excellent candidates with a background in current or emerging areas of health informatics and health librarianship, especially with a focus on artificial intelligence. Minimum Qualifications The minimum requirement is an earned doctorate in Health Informatics, Information Science, or other related fields at the time of appointment. Preferred Qualifications Preference will be given to candidates who have evidence of effective teaching, research (including external funding), and scholarship in Health Informatics or Health Information related areas. Previous experience in health-related settings is preferred. Required License/Registration/Certifications Physical Requirements Communicating with others to exchange information.
