Position Summary
The Department of Medicine and the Division of Cardiology at the University of Illinois, College of Medicine (Chicago) are seeking a full-time eligible Electrophysiology Faculty member.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ideal candidates must have completed an ACGME-accredited cardiology and electrophysiology fellowship program and hold board-certification (or be board-eligible) in electrophysiology. Additional certifications are optional. A focus on clinical electrophysiology is required and experience with a full range of device implants, ablation techniques, lead extraction and/or left atrial appendage occlusion procedures is desirable. Additional clinical responsibilities will include supporting the inpatient EP consult and general consult service and the outpatient cardiology clinic, along with significant opportunities for resident and fellow education as well as patient care for a traditionally underserved population. This position will support the University of Illinois Chicago/UI Health care system and also have opportunities to support the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center. As an academic faculty member, resident and fellow education is an integral component of the position. The individual should have the clinical, scholarly, educational, and personal skills to contribute to an active academic division.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
