Machinist Requirements

• 2+ years of experience
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Steel-toe boots
• Proven experience as a Tool Room Machinist, Manual Machinist, Toolmaker, or Precision Machinist.
• Strong background in tooling repair, tool fabrication, and precision machining.
• Skilled in operating manual machining equipment, including lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses.
• Ability to work independently from prints and specifications with minimal supervision.
• Experience maintaining tight tolerances and high-quality workmanship.
• CAD, CAM, and CNC machining experience is a plus, but not required.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to support production in a deadline-driven environment.

Job Duties

• Build, repair, modify, and maintain extrusion dies, calibration tooling, sizing tooling, fixtures, and custom machine components.
• Operate manual lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, and drill presses to produce high-quality parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
• Machine components to tight tolerances while ensuring quality and accuracy.
• Troubleshoot and repair tooling to minimize production downtime.
• Support manufacturing operations with quick turnaround on tooling repairs and modifications.
• Inspect finished parts and verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient tool room environment.
