What You'll Do



  • Understand project requirements and business goals to strategically determine testing scope.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans with minimal oversight.
  • Perform contextual testing, evaluating real-world user interactions beyond predefined requirements.
  • Identify and address functional issues, usability concerns, content problems, accessibility issues, and inconsistencies across various browsers and devices.
  • Verify robust integrations with third-party systems, including forms, CRMs, payment gateways, authentication systems, and APIs.
  • Validate responsive design and behavior across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
  • Reproduce reported issues, investigate root causes, and provide clear, detailed bug documentation for developers.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, designers, developers, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Contribute to release and regression testing cycles for ongoing website maintenance.
  • Drive continuous improvement of QA processes and testing standards.
  • Ensure the highest quality of websites and web applications prior to client release.

Looking ahead, you will be instrumental in evolving our testing capabilities by implementing automated testing for our web applications. This exciting responsibility includes evaluating and selecting automation frameworks, creating automated regression tests, and seamlessly integrating automated testing into our development workflow, directly impacting our efficiency and product quality.

What We're Looking For



  • 5+ years of experience in testing websites or web applications.
  • A unique ability to think critically from both a business analyst's and an end user's perspective.
  • Strong foundational understanding of modern website and web application functionality.
  • Highly self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and robust problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience in writing clear, reproducible bug reports.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously and adapting to shifting priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, essential for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Must be a US citizen and will not require sponsorship now or in the future.


What Will Set You Apart (Nice to Have)



  • Experience with test automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar frameworks.
  • Familiarity with testing content management systems like WordPress or Drupal.
  • Proficiency with browser developer tools.
  • Strong understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, APIs, and SQL.
  • Experience in testing accessibility (WCAG), performance, and SEO-related functionality.
  • Background in Agile development environments.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar platforms.

Compensation

The target hiring compensation range for this role is 70K - 80K , plus benefits. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
