Tharros is actively pursuing an opportunity to support the Air Force Mission Assurance Construct Support (MACS) program, providing mission analysis, base assessment support, and data platform management services that strengthen the Air Force's Mission Assurance Construct.

Tharros is seeking a Solutions Architect to serve as the technical authority for Mission Assurance data architecture, platform strategy, and analytical workflow infrastructure. This individual leads the initial Mission Assurance data architecture assessment required within 90 days of task initiation, provides ongoing architectural stewardship across the contract period of performance, and oversees the work of Data Managers, Data Analysts, and Workflow Support Specialists on high-visibility and mission-critical platform efforts. The Senior Solutions Architect operates at the intersection of Mission Assurance mission requirements and enterprise data platform capabilities, ensuring that the analytical infrastructure supporting AF/A33B remains coherent, scalable, and decision relevant.

Key Responsibilities



  • Lead the initial review of AF/A33B's Mission Assurance data architecture within Government-directed enterprise data platforms and deliver the Mission Assurance Data Architecture Assessment and Recommendations
  • Report within 90 calendar days of task initiation.
  • Assess Mission Assurance data models, structures, ontologies, analytical workflows, and technical debt for alignment with Air Force, Department of the Air Force, and enterprise data architecture guidance.
  • Develop and present recommendations that improve Mission Assurance data coherence, scalability, analytical rigor, platform sustainability, and senior-leader decision support.
  • Provide ongoing architectural stewardship to ensure Mission Assurance data workflows, analytical products, and platform capabilities remain aligned with approved architecture and evolving mission requirements.
  • Lead solution design and platform enablement for Mission Assurance data workflows, analytical models, dashboards, automation, monitoring views, and decision-support tools within Palantir Foundry and comparable Government-directed platforms.
  • Oversee transition of prototype analytical tools and workflows into sustained, enterprise-ready platform products that support Mission Analysis, Assessment Support, Risk Management, and Governance task areas.
  • Serve as the primary technical interface with DAF enterprise data offices, platform owners, governance bodies, and Mission Assurance stakeholders to align data requirements, platform capabilities, interoperability needs, and reuse opportunities.
  • Guide analytical workflow automation, dashboard configuration, monitoring/reporting integration, and collaboration activities using Government-directed tools such as Platform One, Mattermost, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Provide technical leadership, quality review, issue resolution, knowledge transfer, and oversight to Data Managers, Data Analysts, and Workflow Support Specialists assigned to platform development and sustainment activities.
  • Advise the Program Manager and Government leadership on data platform risks, architectural decisions, capability gaps, technical priorities, and recommended courses of action affecting MACS program performance.
  • Master's degree
  • Active TS, eligible for SCI
  • 10+ years of professional experience in any career field, discipline, or industry.
  • Ability to perform functional duties independently and provide technical oversight to less senior staff assigned to platform development and sustainment activities.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, assessing, and stewarding enterprise-scale data architectures for operational or analytical programs.
  • Experience leading Government-directed data platform enablement efforts, including workflow design, data model development, analytical product delivery, sustainment, and documentation.
  • Experience conducting data architecture assessments, identifying gaps and technical debt, and developing recommendations to improve coherence, scalability, interoperability, and analytical effectiveness.
  • Experience providing technical direction or oversight to data engineers, analysts, workflow developers, or comparable technical teams in a Department of Defense environment.
  • Experience interfacing with enterprise platform owners, data governance bodies, or senior technical stakeholders to advocate for data requirements and align platform capabilities with mission needs.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex architectural issues into clear findings and actionable recommendations for senior Government audiences.
