Project Manager - SCRUM

Hybrid on site in Union Square, NY. Will start as a hybrid position but with the right candidate and comfort from the team, could move into a mostly remote position.

As a key contributor, you will drive the successful execution of critical digital initiatives, acting as a catalyst for team performance and project success. You will empower teams to achieve their full potential, foster an environment of trust and transparency, and directly influence the strategic direction of digital platforms that serve a vast customer base. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on facilitating progress, managing complex dependencies, and continuously improving agile practices.

What You'll Do

• Conduct and facilitate Scrum Ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Grooming, and Sprint Retrospective.
• Facilitate cross-team coordination, tracking, and following up on external dependencies.
• Help the team identify risks and dependencies, and work closely with the team and external teams to manage them.
• Regularly keep track of metrics such as velocity and burn down.
• Manage the Product Backlog, working closely with product owners to create, maintain, and prioritize it.
• Keep the backlog clean and updated in terms of state, target dates, and linking user stories to appropriate features and epics.
• Protect the team from interruptions and distractions to maximize productivity.
• Foster collaboration, accountability, and visibility across the team.
• Build a trusting and open team environment where problems or concerns are raised without fear of blame.
• Guide the team on achieving higher levels of Agile maturity at a sustainable pace.

What You'll Bring

• Agile project management expertise.
• Experience with agile project management tools.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a scrum team effectively.
• Experience working with stakeholders from multiple departments and project teams.
• Ability to quickly understand complex stakeholder ecosystems and efficiently remove blockers.
• Must have a Bachelor's Degree.

Nice-to-Haves

• ScrumMaster certification.

  • ADO, High Proficiency and backlogging
  • Data Analytics in Sequel, Python, or related field
