Job Description: The Client Delivery Manager II is responsible for leading delivery execution across assigned clients and complex delivery initiatives. This role manages delivery plans, dependencies, risks, performance metrics, cross-functional coordination, and delivery-related financial tracking to support predictable execution, operational performance, and contractually aligned delivery outcomes.
- Lead delivery execution across assigned clients and complex initiatives, including upgrades, purchased solutions, and ancillary delivery activities.
- Develop, manage, and adjust delivery plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, resource needs, and execution priorities.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for client-facing execution activities related to assigned initiatives.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to align resources, resolve dependencies, and maintain delivery timelines.
- Manage delivery risks, issues, and escalations, resolving complex delivery challenges independently when appropriate.
- Track and report delivery performance, including progress, milestones, risks, issues, outcomes, and delivery-related metrics.
- Oversee delivery-related financial tracking, including effort, budget alignment, resource utilization, and financial impacts related to assigned delivery activities.
- Ensure delivery execution aligns with contractual commitments, scope, timelines, success measures, and established delivery standards.
- Develop client-facing documentation related to delivery initiatives, project status, timelines, risks, and execution activities.
- Use delivery systems, tools, and available analytics, including AI-enabled capabilities where applicable, to identify risks, trends, dependencies, and opportunities to improve delivery execution.
- Partner with other client-facing teams to support delivery-related communications and execution activities.
- Support continuous improvement of delivery processes, tools, reporting practices, documentation, and execution standards.
- Provide guidance to junior Client Delivery team members, including Coordinators, on delivery execution practices.
- Perform other duties that support the overall objective of the position.
Education Required:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Or, any combination of education and experience which would provide the required qualifications for the position.
Experience Required:
- 7+ years of experience in project management, client delivery, implementation, service operations, or a related field.
- Experience leading complex delivery initiatives, cross-functional execution activities, or client-facing delivery work.
License/Certification Required:
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of:Advanced project management and delivery execution practices. Complex client delivery, implementation, or service operations environments. Cross-functional delivery models, resource coordination, and delivery governance. Delivery performance metrics, reporting, risk management, escalation practices, and delivery-related financial tracking. Contractual commitments, scope management, and success measures.
- Skill in:Managing delivery plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, and performance metrics. Influencing cross-functional teams to support delivery execution and outcomes. Communicating delivery status, risks, issues, outcomes, and reporting updates to stakeholders. Resolving complex delivery issues and determining appropriate escalation actions. Using delivery tools, systems, and analytics to support risk identification, performance monitoring, and execution improvement.
- Ability to:Lead multiple concurrent and complex delivery initiatives with limited oversight. Anticipate risks and balance delivery timelines, scope, resources, financial considerations, and contractual commitments. Drive consistent, predictable, and measurable delivery performance. Recommend improvements to delivery processes, tools, documentation, and reporting practices.
