Warehouse Associate - TEMPORARY CONTRACT

Your main responsibilities

This is a temporary, contract position


Responsible for supporting warehouse and shipping/receiving operations by ensuring the accurate handling, storage, and distribution of materials, while maintaining safety, quality, and organizational standards.


Key Responsibilities:
* Load and unload materials from delivery trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
* Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming shipments; verify condition and sign for materials upon confirming no visible damage. Immediately report any damaged shipments to the delivery personnel and supervisor.
* Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, invoices, and other relevant documentation.
* Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and hand trucks, to transport materials to designated storage or work areas.
* Distribute parts and materials to Quality Control (QC) and other departments; route non-inventory items to appropriate personnel.
* Deliver completed documentation to the appropriate department for processing.
* Pick, prepare, and package items for shipment, including inspecting, weighing, and counting materials using appropriate scales.
* Stage products at designated packaging areas and assemble packaging materials as needed.
* Process shipments through carriers such as UPS, FedEx, and other parcel services; identify and report discrepancies to supervisors.
* Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure compliance with quality, quantity, labeling, and addressing standards.
* Review production schedules, customer orders, and work orders to determine material handling and distribution needs.
* Relocate materials within the warehouse to maintain accurate inventory and efficient storage practices.
* Perform cycle counts of inventory as assigned to ensure accuracy and accountability.
* Conduct routine forklift maintenance, including battery charging and monitoring water levels.
* Maintain adequate inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
* Ensure work areas, equipment, and tools are clean, organized, and compliant with safety and housekeeping standards.

What you bring

* High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 1 year related experience and/or training preferred
* Regularly required to stand up to 8.0hours a day.
* Frequently required to walk, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, bend and crouch.
* Frequently lift/carry 50 to 60lbs.
* Frequently exert up to 60 lbs of force to push/pull objects or equipment.
* An individual driving a DOT Vehicle (CMV) must get a DOT certification and pass a DOT Physical
