Overview

Carle Health is seeking an experienced and dynamic physician leader to oversee our Bloomington-Normal and Eureka service areas in Central Illinois.


Opportunity Details

Core Leadership Functions:

  • Develop and lead change initiatives to continuously improve patient care and service in alignment with the Carle Experience.
  • Set the vision and direction for areas of responsibility; work with area leaders to develop goals accordingly.
  • Demonstrate value, integrity, professionalism, and character as a model for leaders and staff.
  • Collaborate with Dyads to ensure the prompt resolution of any physician/staff conflicts that arise and appropriately document the outcome.
  • Serve as a financial steward of the organization by participating in operational and capital budget planning processes and monitoring financial operations for all areas of responsibility.
  • Develop a culture whereby patients and their families have a positive experience, centered on their needs.
  • Implement local and regional partnerships addressing the short- and long-term health needs of the community.
  • Conduct routine rounding across all areas of responsibility to support providers, strengthen engagement, and address areas identified by Medical Directors.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Medical Degree and BE/BC in respective specialty.
  • MBA, MHA, MMM or comparable in healthcare management and leadership preferred.
  • Ten or more years of clinical practice in their specialty; five years of progressive physician leadership experience required.
  • Proven effectiveness as a physician leader in building and maintaining strong rapport with the leadership of a clinical enterprise across an integrated health system, its community hospitals and practice partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide creative and strategic solutions and able to create a vision for the future.
  • Resilience, good at problem analysis and strong negotiation skills.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $325,000 - $600,000. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
