This position will be domiciled at a FedEx Freight location in Memphis, TN or Harrison, AR. You will be required to work at a FedEx Freight Location several times per week.
POSITION OVERVIEW: Maintain and strengthen customer relationships, provide financial analysis of diverse business proposals and recommend account adjustments within a strategic business segment. Assist leadership, as needed, with evaluation of proposals and initiatives. Develop business/strategic plans and provide on-going support and guidance to leadership. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Effectively manage customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction and partnership through proactive communication and collaboration
- Work directly with Customers, negotiate complex pricing programs and upsell value added services within the LTL space
- Manage BID/RFP activity to include communicating with stakeholders and benchmarking off General Program
- Develop and execute dynamic pricing by providing guidance and oversight
- Provide forecasts, annual business plan / long range plans and incorporate current / historical information that aligns with company financial objectives
- Coordinate with other internal teams such as operations and other internal partners to provide a premier customer experience
- Liaison with other functional areas of the organizations to implement strategic/tactical initiatives and be communicate to executive leadership
- Collaborate with Sales on new and existing opportunities by providing LTL subject matter expertise
- Perform market research and utilize findings to develop business strategies that support growth and profitability
- Monitor network capacity and develop/implement pricing strategies that optimize network balance
- Use, develop and maintain processes, information systems and software
- Lead or participate in special projects driven by current company needs or market conditions
- Serve as resource and mentor to lower level professionals
- Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in finance, accounting, sales or business plus seven (7) years' experience in financial analysis, financial planning, business consulting, project management, accounting, sales or operations analysis/management
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact successfully with all management levels as well as directly with customers
- Depending on assignment, specialized knowledge, skills, abilities and experience may be required
- Extensive pricing experience and related analytic skills preferred
- Advanced critical thinking skills
- Advanced problem-solving skills
- Strong project management skills
- Able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and/or financial support systems
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as the member of a team
- Able to lead project groups with minimal direct supervision; successfully representing the Carrier Relations function
