About the Role

Position Overview: As a Campus Engagement Intern at Binghamton University , you will represent Visions in a positive and professional way while building connections between the campus community and our credit union. In this role, you will support outreach, engagement, and financial wellness efforts that help students learn more about available resources and strengthen Visions' presence as a trusted community partner.
You will also gain hands-on experience in branch operations, member-service, and event support while working alongside experienced team members who are invested in your growth.

Position Type: This is a temporary, per-semester position, with the exact end date based on business needs.

Compensation: $17.30 per hour

Location: Binghamton University, 4400 Vestal Parkway East, Binghamton, NY 13902

What You'll Do



  • Support and participate in campus, community, and Visions-sponsored events.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador by promoting approved, on-brand messages and resources to the campus community.
  • Assist with scheduling on-site appointments, financial education programs, and engagement activities.
  • Provide high-quality service to members, students, employees, and community partners.
  • Assist branch staff with day-to-day operational needs, including teller and branch support responsibilities as assigned.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities throughout the internship.
  • Support special projects and other duties that help advance Visions' mission, strategy, and values.

  • Help to increase awareness of Visions' financial wellness resources and campus engagement opportunities.
  • Communicate clearly, stay organized, and follow through on assigned responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate curiosity, flexibility, and a willingness to learn through training, branch experience, and community engagement.
  • Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive, and service-focused experience for everyone you interact with.


What We're Looking For



  • Current enrollment and active student status at Binghamton University.
  • Ability to participate in required orientation and training.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortability speaking with different audiences and engaging with others in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Strong organization skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfortability using standard office equipment and basic computer tools.
  • A positive, flexible, and collaborative approach to working with others.
  • Availability to support occasional evenings and weekend events, as needed.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Previous volunteer, campus involvement, community engagement, or customer service experience.
  • Experience using social media platforms to share approved content, promote events, or support community engagement.
