Who We Are: 5E-NeuroScience Unit (NSU): is an 18-bed monitored unit (surveillance monitoring cameras, intracranial pressure and cardio/respiratory monitoring) plus a 7-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Center (EMC) providing family centered nursing care to patients of all ages- newborns to young adults-with Neurology and Neurosurgery problems, including, but not limited to:
About the Role: All nursing practice is based on the legal scope of practice, national and specialty nursing standards, CNMC Policies and Procedures, and in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. The Professional Model of Care requires registered professional nurses to be responsible and accountable for their own practice. CNMC supports the development of RN relationships within the community; specifically those relationships associated with the health and well being of the community at large. The Shift Coordinator, on a shift to shift basis, directs the activities of and/or participates as a member of the patient care delivery team. In collaboration with unit leadership, participates in planning, managing and evaluating unit based clinical care and ensuring that continuity of care is maintained. The disclosed salary range includes the minimum and maximum rates within which Children's National believes an individual's base pay rate will fall for this position. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the maximum of the pay range.
