Position Summary: The Product Operations Support Specialist I is responsible for directing and coordinating activities and assisting the Manager, Product Management Operations. They work closely with Product Mangers (PMs) supporting the requirements of the Sales business units. They manage and maintain all Product Management-related products and property and handle various communications with internal groups regarding ongoing projects Product Management is managing. This position requires 2+ years of directly related experience in the firearms environment/industry and must possess entry level knowledge of all SIG SAUER products. The Product Operations Support Specialist I collaborates with Manufacturing, Planning, Engineering, Product Management, Sales, and external vendors.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Perform Agile and Oracle functions in support of Product Managers. Book sales orders and stock out products.
  • Support Product Managers with part service/support across respective lines.
  • Support Product Managers in end user research and testing to ensure that customer needs are met.
  • Track and monitor incoming and existing Product Management inventory.
  • Maintain, manage, clean, and keep all Product Management products in proper form, fit, and function.
  • Support events and demos for Product Management and Sales units.
  • Handle ATF and compliance related duties.
  • Host meetings with internal business units to provide updates on current Product Management projects.
  • Test products to ensure they meet business units' specifications.
  • Recognize accessories such as grips, optical sights, slings, safety options, and how to configure properly.
  • Work with Manufacturing, Planning, Engineering, and Project Management to meet the demands of the business units' special projects.
  • Support Product Managers in working with outside vendors on new products that need to be evaluated.
  • Travel on an as needed basis.
  • Engage in Continuous Improvement projects/tasks.
  • Communicate effectively to supervision regarding problems and corrective action.
  • Participate in and sustain 5S Standards.
  • Must follow all required Safety and ISO procedures.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.


Education/Experience & Skills:



  • High School diploma or equivalent; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 2+ years of directly related experience in the firearms environment/industry. Military background preferred.
  • Range certified required.
  • Possess entry level knowledge of all SIG SAUER products.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word), Agile, and Oracle.
  • Must be able to clearly, concisely, and accurately convey ideas and information to others, both verbally and in written form.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently as well as in a team environment.


Working Conditions:



  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer using a keyboard and mouse performing repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to open file cabinets, reach with hands and arms, bend, and twist, lift and move files.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
  • Must comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. Security Mandates.
