Your Team, Your Impact

As a Hardware Design, Senior Staff Engineer with Marvell, for this role you'll be a member of the Photonic Fabric business group. You'll be part of the engineering team designing boards for Photonic Fabric business unit at Marvell. This is an opportunity to be part of the next architectural revolution in AI data centers.

What You Can Expect

* Define board level architecture, overseeing board layout execution, generating BOM and schematics, and driving board manufacturing with vendors.
* Responsible for engineering Marvell systems for IP validation and product reference platforms
* Collaborate with mechanical, system (rack/chassis) electrical, manufacturing and test teams
* Work with internal cross-functional product and technical teams along with external vendors for engineering solutions.
* Develop strong technical relationships within the company, and externally with the vendors alike as a single point of contact for all system level design and manufacturing problems

* Effectively plan and organize board build process, component procurement, board bring-up, debug, and testing to ensure technical objectives and schedules are met.
* Frequently collaborate with industry peers and suppliers to stay abreast of industry advances and future roadmaps
* Resolve daily technical issues with cross-functional engineering teams in a timely manner and drive Marvell's success
* Perform hardware bring up, debugging, and root cause analysis
* Conduct design verification, validation, testing, and documentation
* Need strong project management, written and verbal communication skills as well as a can-do attitude to prioritize and address issues with a very high sense of urgency.

What We're Looking For

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields and at least 9 years of related professional experience; Master's degree and at least 6 years of related experience; PhD with 6 years of related experience.
* 5-10+ years of experience in server-based solutions, rack and appliance based system solutions for the datacenter, with 2-3 years' experience in complex systems project management.
* Hands on experience with board level, server hardware and architecture, prior experience troubleshooting server/storage/network products is a plus
* Familiarity with Cloud Infrastructure, AI/ML and Systems Hardware (Blade and Rack Servers)
*Experience in Photonics is a plus.
*Proven record in successfully delivering data center solutions to meet customer demands is highly preferred
*Ability to lead and drive internal/external resources to accomplish key milestones and execute deliverables.

* Have worked before using advanced test equipment such as sampling/real-time oscilloscope, and logic analyzers.

Preferred Qualification:
* Strong knowledge of PCIe, DDR memory topologies, power supply, and PCB layout requirements.
* Printed circuit board design proficiency using Cadence OrCAD/Allegro PCB Design tools.

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

127,630 - 191,200, $ per annum

The successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
