Accountant Location: Bethel, CT Compensation:Up to $90k DOE We are partnering with a well-established organization to identify anAccountant to join its growing corporate accounting team. This role provides broad exposure to corporate accounting, financial reporting, process improvement initiatives, and month-end close. Key Responsibilities Prepare journal entries across various general ledger accounts, including cash, accruals, intercompany transactions, financing activities, taxes, and interest expense Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances Analyze balance sheet accounts and prepare supporting schedules Assist with month-end and year-end close activities Support treasury and cash management functions Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies Assist with audits, special projects, and ad hoc financial reporting Partner with accounting leadership on ongoing departmental initiatives Top Priorities for This Role Strong accounting fundamentals Eagerness to learn and grow professionally Positive attitude with a willingness to roll up your sleeves Ideal Background Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 2+ years of progressive accounting experience Public accounting (Audit or Assurance) experience is welcomed but not required Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, and complex formulas Experience working with ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics experience is a plus CPA or active pursuit of CPA preferred but not required Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities What Makes Someone Successful Here?
