Overview
A part-time instructor is needed to teach virtual personal finance content through live, online webinars, and provide occasional virtual professional development training. This person will work closely with USU Extension faculty and personal finance programming staff. The ideal candidate is a confident, engaging presenter who can teach independently with minimal oversight once trained on content and platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver live personal finance webinars per week on scheduled topics
  • Prepare and adapt session materials to fit audience needs
  • Engage participants and answer questions clearly and confidently during live sessions
  • Coordinate with USU Extension faculty and staff on scheduling, content alignment, and participant follow-up
  • Track attendance and basic session outcomes as required
  • Work independently to manage prep time, session logistics, and follow-through


Qualifications
  • Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC) certification, active and in good standing
  • Demonstrated experience teaching or presenting to groups (in-person or online)
  • Strong communication skills, comfortable speaking live and answering questions on the spot
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Reliable internet access and comfort with virtual meeting platforms (Zoom or similar)

Work is performed remotely in a home office or similar private setting with reliable high-speed internet. Requires use of a computer, webcam, and virtual meeting platforms (Zoom or similar) for extended periods during live sessions. Occasional in-person meetings or trainings may be required at USU Extension offices or training sites.

Requires the ability to sit for extended periods while delivering live virtual instruction. Requires clear speech and hearing for live presentation and real-time interaction with participants. Requires the use of hands and fingers for typing, preparing materials, and operating a computer and related technology.

Requires the ability to think quickly and respond clearly to unscripted questions during live sessions. Requires strong organizational skills to plan, prepare, and adapt content independently with minimal supervision. Requires the ability to manage multiple sessions and audiences (public webinars and professional development trainings) while maintaining consistent quality and engagement.
