Overview

LMI is seeking an an onsite IT Specialist at Fort Bragg, NC to support a Department of War mission partner by delivering responsive end-user support, managing service requests, and sustaining the daily operation of mission-essential information technology services. The specialist will serve as a front-line technical resource for military, civilian, and contractor personnel in a dynamic, mission-focused environment. This position is onsite at Fort Bragg, NC and requires an active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

    Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 help desk support for end-user hardware, software, accounts, peripherals, and network-access issues.
  • Receive, document, prioritize, troubleshoot, escalate, and close service requests using the organization's approved ticketing system.
  • Support account provisioning, password resets, group membership, permissions, email access, and other identity-management actions in accordance with established policy.
  • Install, configure, image, issue, recover, and troubleshoot government-furnished workstations, laptops, mobile devices, printers, monitors, docking stations, and related peripherals.
  • Diagnose Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 issues, including Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
  • Assist users with network connectivity, virtual private network access, approved remote-access tools, common access card authentication, and endpoint-security requirements.
  • Maintain accurate asset, user, ticket, configuration, warranty, and disposition records.
  • Coordinate unresolved incidents and service requests with enterprise service desks, network administrators, cybersecurity personnel, system administrators, and external service providers.
  • Support equipment refreshes, software updates, vulnerability-remediation actions, and approved configuration changes.
  • Develop and maintain troubleshooting guides, standard operating procedures, knowledge-base articles, and user-reference materials.
  • Provide technical support for meetings, video teleconferences, briefings, command-post activities, and other mission events.
  • Identify recurring technical issues and recommend practical improvements to support processes, user training, and service delivery.
  • Protect sensitive information and comply with all cybersecurity, acceptable-use, records-management, and property-accountability requirements.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Prior service in a U.S. Army 25-series military occupational specialty.
  • Willing to work onsite at Fort Bragg, NC
  • Minimum of four years of experience providing information technology help desk, desktop support, or end-user support services.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Experience installing, configuring, imaging, troubleshooting, issuing, and recovering end-user computing equipment.
  • Experience using an enterprise ticketing or service-management system to document and track incidents and service requests.
  • Working knowledge of user accounts, permissions, common access card authentication, network connectivity, virtual private networks, printers, and peripheral devices.
  • Current DoD 8570/8140-compliant baseline certification appropriate for the position, such as CompTIA Security+.
  • Ability to explain technical issues clearly to users with varying levels of technical proficiency.
  • Strong customer-service, communication, organization, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with military personnel, government civilians, contractors, and enterprise support organizations.
  • Ability to lift and move information technology equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, cybersecurity, information systems, or a related discipline.
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation certification.
  • Microsoft, Cisco, or other relevant technical certification.
  • Experience supporting secure networks, deployable communications, tactical environments, or U.S. Special Operations Forces.

Target salary range: $82,000 - $136,900
