Security Officer - Second Shift Hours

As a Security Officer in Madison, WI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location where you will help manage access control, monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and support security-related procedures with professionalism and strong communication. In this role, you will remain visible to help deter incidents while delivering customer service that reflects our agile, reliable, and innovative approach, with a caring culture, teamwork, and integrity at the center of every shift.

Pay Rate: $18.64 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and help to deter unauthorized access to the facility, yard, and shipping or receiving areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, parking areas, and trailer or loading zones, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
• Maintain accurate logs, screen incoming guests and/or deliveries, and communicate with site contacts regarding access requests, unusual activity, and other security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
