YOUR IMPACT You will collaborate with our global consultants to conduct research and analysis on companies and trends in the Automotive sector, e.g. auto manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, electrification, autonomous vehicles, and more. You will be part of a global team that helps develop innovative solutions for our clients, as well as contribute to the continuous development of our knowledge infrastructure within the automotive domain. Your work will range from short-term information gathering to long-term project support.You will get access to a variety of industry-specific sources and global network of experts. You will analyze the positioning and competitiveness of our clients, evaluate key financial figures, technology and product strategies, and define market sizes and fields of application. YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS Bachelor's degree in business, economics, engineering, or similar is required 1+ years professional experience in the automotive sector, either within the industry or corporate strategy/market research covering automotive space Comfortable using different generative AI tools (e.g. Claude, Cursor, etc.) and know when to leverage them Excellent organizational capabilities, including the ability to initiate tasks independently and see them through to completion Proficient in rational decision making based on data, facts, and logical reasoning Ability to create work product-focused materials / outputs, which may include PowerPoint decks, Excel models, articles, or other written deliverables Exceptional time management to meet your responsibilities in a complex and largely autonomous work environment Ability to work or attend meetings outside of traditional business hours or take on projects with limited or no notice at times Ability to travel to and work in varying environments that may be challenging and/or not easily accessible (e.g., factories, hospitals, mines) No immigration sponsorship is offered. To help you understand what you can expect, the salary range for new joiners in this role in United States, including all office locations where the job may be performed, is $92,000 - $95,000 USD gross per year. Factors like your office location, your unique blend of experience and skills, start date and our current organizational needs all play a part in determining the final figure. Certain roles are also eligible for bonuses, subject to McKinsey's discretion and based on factors such as individual and/or organizational performance.
