JOB TITLE: Sr. Software Engineer LOCATION: Coppell, TX (Hybrid role, may work from home) DUTIES: Design, develop, and maintain Blue Yonder Luminate Commerce fulfillment applications, including Inventory, Availability, Sourcing, Capacity, and Order Services, supporting eCommerce and omnichannel order management with nextgeneration supply chain solutions. Develop and extend Blue Yonder Commerce microservices using opensource technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, REST APIs, Hazelcast, Cassandra, and distributed systems frameworks. Deliver scalable, highperformance features that meet peak transaction volumes and SLAs. Deploy, configure, and support applications on Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure and containerized cloudnative microservices using Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines. Provide early identification and mitigation of technical risks and ensure endtoend implementation of solutions from design through golive. Collaborate with architects, product owners, offshore teams, and operations leads to translate requirements into technical architecture, detailed designs, and peakseason readiness plans. Design and implement validation, testing, and automation frameworks to support functional, endtoend, performance, and user acceptance testing. Develop highquality, maintainable software following clean code principles and Blue Yonder engineering standards, including secure coding and data protection. Translate business requirements into technical specifications and user stories, lead feature design, and decompose work into development and testing tasks. Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to ensure coding standards, security, and performance requirements are met. Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines, resolve build failures, and support automated testing and deployments. Perform performance benchmarking, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization measures. Improve systems and processes through automation, including installation, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance of fulfillment applications. Develop reusable components, best practices, technical documentation, and standardized solutions to reduce total cost of ownership. Plan and execute complex changes, manage stakeholder expectations, and communicate risks, impediments, and delivery impacts. Monitor application performance, conduct rootcause analysis for incidents, and implement corrective and preventive measures. Independently resolve production issues, lead postincident reviews, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Participate in Agile activities including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and release planning. Mentor and onboard junior engineers, contribute to hiring processes, and support team capability development. Stay current with industry trends, tools, and technologies in software development, cloud platforms, and distributed systems, and apply relevant innovations to ongoing and future projects. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a Senior Software Engineer, or a related/similar position.
