Job Title: Senior Technical Field Engineer

Location(s): Las Vegas, NV

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Client Field / Computer Technician to provide onsite break-fix support for laptops, desktops, and related hardware. This role requires an individual who can work independently, build strong customer relationships, and serve as the primary technical contact for an assigned location. While the technical work is straightforward and training will be provided, the ideal candidate should demonstrate initiative, professionalism, reliability, and a stable employment history.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform onsite diagnosis and repair of desktop and laptop hardware.
  • Replace components including hard drives, motherboards, keyboards, LCD screens, and other hardware.
  • Perform complete system swaps and peripheral replacements.
  • Support multiple customer locations within the metro and surrounding areas as required.
  • Accurately update and close service tickets in real time using the company's ticket management system.
  • Maintain excellent customer service and communication while working independently.
  • Drive between customer sites when required.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of hands-on laptop and desktop break-fix experience.
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing desktop and laptop hardware.
  • Experience replacing hardware components such as motherboards, LCDs, keyboards, and hard drives.
  • General knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft applications.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Reliable personal vehicle and valid auto insurance are required.
  • Must be willing to travel throughout the service area.
  • Ability to work overtime and standby schedules when required.
  • Ability to complete product training.
  • Must pass background and drug screening.
  • Additional customer or government clearances may be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Computer building or custom PC assembly experience.
  • Server hardware maintenance experience.
  • CompTIA A+ Certification.

Certification Requirement:

  • CompTIA A+ Certification is required.
  • Candidates who are not currently certified must obtain the certification within 90 days of employment or employment may be terminated.
  • Additional required hardware certifications will be completed after selection at no cost to the candidate and must be completed before an offer is extended.

Note:

  • Candidates should have a consistent work history demonstrating responsibility and reliability.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills are essential since this position involves working independently at customer locations.

Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
