Production Planner/Scheduler

Job Purpose

Operating in a collaborative, team-based environment, the Production Planner / Scheduler serves as a critical link between Engineering, Program Management, Purchasing, and Manufacturing. This role is responsible for executing and supporting all production planning activities in a timely, efficient manner, with a specific focus on leveraging production planning expertise to seamlessly support SYN initiatives.

Nature of Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform core scheduling functions, including managing work orders and coordinating the physical movement of products and materials through manufacturing processes to ensure on-time shipment.
• Backlog to identify material shortages and capacity constraints. Provide timely commitment feedback and accurate delivery projections to customers.
• Partner closely with Purchasing, Production, and Engineering to efficiently expedite materials and Work-in-Process (WIP).
• Proactively identify potential supply chain or capacity bottlenecks. Analyze impact, formulate recommendations, and communicate solutions to all affected stakeholders.
• Apply specialized experience in production planning to actively support and optimize SYN processes, aligning manufacturing schedules with broader program goals.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment in selecting the best methods and techniques to resolve complex material planning and scheduling challenges.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degreeand minimum of 2 years of direct experience as a Production Planner, Scheduler, or in an equivalent manufacturing/supply chain role.
• Proven experience in production planning specifically structured to support SYN requirements and workflows.
• Robust working knowledge of MRP systems, with hands-on proficiency in Oracle 11i and advanced MS Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, data analysis) and the MS Office Suite.
• Exceptional analytical capabilities alongside strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate across cross-functional teams.
• Working knowledge of Kinaxis Rapid Response or other Advanced Planning Systems (APS).
• APICS certification/training preferred.

Salary Range(annual): $73,000 - $78,000

Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package. The total rewards package also includes a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business and, depending on the role, may include eligibility for restricted stock unit awards and participation in a discretionary bonus program.
