Under the direction of the Production Lead, the Production Operator is responsible for all activities related to operating production equipment per the instructions. Also, responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Standard Work (WIs) Instructions and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced.

In this role you'll make an impact by:

  • Responsible for performing all job requirements in a safe manner using the required PPE.

  • Responsible for reporting and addressing unsafe behaviors or equipment to ensure a safe working environment.

  • Responsible for cleanliness and housekeeping of work area.

  • Demonstrate Lock-Out/Tag-Out compliance.

  • Responsible to follow GMPs and Food Safety compliance to ensure quality products produced are safe to consume.

  • Participate and execute sanitation duties to ensure sanitary production areas are maintained in accordance with our GMP's.

  • Record operational and production data legibly, accurately and error free on specified forms.

  • Escalate downtime when support is needed.

  • A positive pro-company can-do attitude.

  • Operate equipment within the assigned area and meet production and quality targets daily.

  • Weigh and/or count product accurately.

  • Accurately check in and out materials.

  • Complete Disassembly, Clean, Reassembly (DCRs) safely and efficiently.

  • Follow SOPs and WIs.

  • Maintain 5S.

  • Accurately print labels.

  • Training is being completed on time.

  • Training others as assigned.

  • Participate in Continuous Improvement Projects.

  • Other duties as assigned.

To succeed you must hold:

The appropriate knowledge, skills and abilities required for this position are achievable through the following combination of education, work experience and training:

  • High School Diploma along with 1 + year of relevantwork experience in a food or dietary supplement manufacturing facility.

  • Be able to work within established routines, methods and procedures under very strict management parameters.

  • Ability to work effectively as a team player in a diverse work group.

  • Personal responsibility for following safety rules, SOPs and cGMP guidelines.

  • Complies with company policies and procedures, maintains regular work attendance.

  • Other duties as required.

Location: Madison, Wisconsin (On-site)

Expected salary range: $20-21/hour
