Lead Security Installation Technician Location: On-Site Data Center Project Employment Type: Full-Time Industry: Electronic Security / Low Voltage / Data Center Construction Join a High-Profile Data Center Security Project We are seeking an experienced Lead Security Installation Technician to oversee the installation and deployment of electronic security systems on a large-scale hyperscale data center construction project. This is a hands-on field leadership role focused specifically on electronic security systems, not general construction. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in access control, CCTV/video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems, combined with the ability to lead technicians, coordinate subcontractors, and work closely with project stakeholders in a fast-paced construction environment. What You'll Be Doing As the Lead Security Installation Technician, you will serve as the on-site leader responsible for ensuring security systems are installed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications. Key Responsibilities * Open, secure, and manage the job site each day * Lead the day-to-day execution of electronic security system installations * Spend up to 80% of your time in the field conducting site walks and overseeing work * Supervise security technicians, installers, and subcontractors * Coordinate closely with the General Contractor (GC) and project stakeholders * Manage short-term construction schedules and daily work plans * Schedule subcontractors, inspections, vendors, and site activities * Interpret blueprints, construction drawings, security system schematics, and project documentation * Review and manage RFIs, ASIs, material submittals, punch lists, and inspection requirements * Maintain daily logs and provide project status updates to the Project Manager * Enforce safety, quality, and installation standards across the site * Identify and resolve field challenges, coordination conflicts, and installation issues * Ensure all security systems are installed according to project specifications and industry standards Security Systems You'll Be Working With Access Control Systems * Card readers * Door hardware * Control panels * Credential management systems CCTV & Video Surveillance * IP camera systems * Video management platforms * Camera infrastructure and network connectivity Intrusion Detection Systems * Detection devices * Alarm panels * Integrated security solutions Preferred Platforms Experience with the following systems is highly desirable: * Software House Access Control * Axis IP Cameras Required Qualifications Must-Have Experience * Electronic security industry experience (required) * Strong background in: * Access Control * CCTV / Video Surveillance * Intrusion Detection Systems * 3+ years of supervisory, foreman, lead technician, or construction leadership experience * Experience managing crews and subcontractors on active job sites * Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and security system documentation * Strong site coordination and project execution skills * Proven commitment to safety and quality standards * Valid driver's license * Ability to work full-time on-site in a construction environment Physical Requirements * Ability to conduct extensive site walks throughout the workday * Ability to lift and move materials up to 100 pounds * Comfortable working on active construction sites * Ability to utilize lifts and access equipment as required Highly Preferred Experience Candidates with any of the following experience will stand out: * Hands-on experience with Software House access control systems * Experience installing or supervising Axis IP camera deployments * Large-scale data center construction projects * Mission-critical facility environments * Coordination of projects involving 100+ contractors on site * Fast-paced commercial construction projects * Strong partnership experience working alongside General Contractors * Security system commissioning and integration experience Ideal Backgrounds We encourage applications from professionals with experience as: * Lead Security Installation Technician * Security Foreman * Access Control Technician Lead * Electronic Security Supervisor * CCTV Project Lead * Low Voltage Foreman * Security Systems Integrator * Data Center Security Technician * Security Construction Supervisor * Electronic Security Project Lead Why Consider This Opportunity? * High-profile hyperscale data center project * Leadership role with significant field involvement * Opportunity to work with advanced security technologies * Exposure to enterprise-level access control and video surveillance systems * Long-term career growth within a rapidly expanding industry * Collaborative environment with skilled technical professionals * Work on mission-critical infrastructure that supports some of the world's largest technology environments Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rayville, LA.
