Teller *Location:* Livonia, Michigan
*Schedule:* Monday-Friday | 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM | No Saturdays About the Opportunity A well-established, member-focused financial institution is seeking a *Teller* to join its branch team. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with members in a fast-paced environment while supporting a variety of branch and back-office operations. Position Summary The Teller is responsible for providing exceptional member service while accurately processing financial transactions, maintaining cash balances, and supporting daily branch operations. This role works with both walk-in and drive-thru members and assists with administrative and operational tasks during slower periods. Key Responsibilities Member Service & Transactions * Process member transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, and other account services. * Assist members with account inquiries and provide prompt, professional service. * Issue debit cards and process account maintenance requests such as address changes and travel notices. * Print statements, transaction histories, and other account documentation. * Refer members to other departments when specialized assistance is needed. Cash Handling & Accuracy * Maintain and balance an assigned cash drawer throughout the day. * Verify cash and coin transactions for accuracy. * Count, verify, and prepare cash and coin shipments. * Process money orders, cashier's checks, and other negotiable instruments. Branch Operations * Assist with opening and closing branch procedures. * Support drive-thru and lobby operations through a rotating schedule. * Answer incoming phone calls and assist with member inquiries. * Process mail payments, check orders, and verification of deposits. * Complete required regulatory documentation and compliance reporting. Administrative Support * Perform data entry and filing. * Assist with reports, document preparation, and paperwork management. * Make outbound calls as needed to support branch operations. * Help maintain branch supplies and organize incoming shipments. * Support various departments including lending, accounting, member services, marketing, and operations when required. Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. * Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. * Basic computer and data entry skills. * Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times. Training & Onboarding * Hands-on branch-based training. * Access to online training resources and compliance education.
