McGraw Hill, the leading provider of digital and print educational resources, is looking for a Supervisor, Instructional Designer, ELA/SLA for our K-12 division literacy programs. As a key member of a dynamic, collaborative team of Instructional Designers, you will work closely alongside content, product management, UX, and creative media teams to bring impactful learning experiences to life. In this role, you will design and develop robust digital tools, curriculum, and learning solutions across a variety of formats - reaching millions of educators and students every day. The Supervisor, Instructional Design (ELA/SLA) serves as a digitally fluent content and curriculum leader, accountable for guiding the assembly of high-quality, standards-aligned content that meets the specific needs of our Literacy programs. This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States. This is a Project Status Worker (PSW) role with an end date of 04/30/2027. What you will be doing:
- Lead and mentor a dynamic team of Instructional Designers and external vendors, providing constructive feedback, guidance, and growth opportunities while fostering a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and innovation.
- Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with senior leaders, colleagues, and stakeholders to drive alignment, collective success, and seamless project execution.
- Champion a culture of creativity and experimentation, encouraging new ideas and diverse perspectives that enhance the quality and impact of educational content.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of digital program development - from inception to execution - collaborating across content, product, UX, and creative disciplines to deliver high-quality learning solutions.
- Drive talent management initiatives, developing proactive training and growth plans to ensure the continued success and development of the team.
- Manage and optimize resource allocation across internal teams and external vendors, ensuring alignment with project objectives, quality standards, and tactical delivery goals.
- Stay current on industry trends and market dynamics, leveraging external networks and perspectives to inform strategic decisions and continuously improve products and services.
- Articulate customer and learner needs clearly, translating insights into meaningful, impactful solutions that serve educators and students effectively.
We're looking for someone with:
- 5+ years of professional or consulting experience required, with a preference for backgrounds in instructional design, educational technology, or teaching and education.
- Higher Education industry experience is preferred, bringing relevant context and insight to the role.
- Bachelor's Degree is required, with an advanced degree in education, math, science, or educational technology strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to travel based on territory and account needs.
- A genuine passion for continuous learning and an innate drive to support and empower others.
- Strong technical proficiency required, including familiarity with major operating systems, browsers, Zoom, Microsoft Office Suite, and core internet concepts.
- Proven ability to apply instructional design principles and educational technology tools to develop impactful learning experiences.
- A collaborative, growth-oriented mindset with the ability to adapt to evolving learner and client needs across diverse environments.

However, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
