Responsibilities
- Drives to project sites to pick up test samples
- Complies and maintains good standing with the ECS Diving Criteria
- Additional responsibilities may include:
- Performs laboratory tests on construction materials under the direction of the laboratory manager and assists with field work as needed (if performing these duties, then certifications will be required)
- Works in a team environment with other staff members to maintain a clean and organized laboratory in compliance with QA/QC initiatives and accreditation requirements
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- 90 days of experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver's license; CDL if required for the vehicle type
- Clean driving record and knowledge of local/regional routes
- Excellent driving skills with a pattern of good driving history
- Ability to properly record collected information
- Ability to read maps and follow directions
- Knowledge of concrete laboratory equipment and test methods preferred
Work Environment:
- Ability to be regularly exposed to outside weather conditions such as wet and/or humid environments, extreme cold and/or heat, dusty and noisy work environments
- Ability to handle moderate to moderately loud noises
- Ability to work some weekends and overtime as requested
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to drive, load, and unload on construction sites involving long-term standing, sitting, and repetitive motions
- Ability to use your hands; reach, climb, or balance; crouch, stoop, crawl, kneel, and sit
- Ability to see and smell; including close, distance, and peripheral vision
- Ability to focus
- Ability to drive a hundred miles or more per day
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 60-80 pounds
