Description

Markon is seeking a CNO Software Engineer to support the Fort Meade customer by developing and enhancing software capabilities that support Computer Network Operations (CNO) and mission-critical cyber operations. This role designs, develops, and integrates software solutions that improve operational capabilities, automate complex processes, and support evolving mission requirements. Working within a collaborative Agile environment, the Software Engineer develops innovative software applications that enable secure, scalable, and high-performance mission systems.



Responsibilities

    Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications supporting Computer Network Operations (CNO).
  • Analyze user and system requirements to develop software designs that meet functional and performance objectives.
  • Design and implement new software capabilities and enhance existing applications to support evolving mission requirements.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects while improving application performance and reliability.
  • Integrate software components into existing and emerging operational environments.
  • Design and implement complex database interfaces, queries, and data repository solutions.
  • Develop software using Python and other appropriate programming languages to automate mission processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Review software designs, technical documentation, and code to ensure compliance with engineering standards and best practices.
  • Recommend improvements to software development processes, documentation, and engineering methodologies.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, systems engineers, and mission stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI W/ Polygraph through this Customer
  • Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Experience developing software in a Computer Network Operations (CNO) environment.
  • Strong Python development experience.
  • Experience analyzing requirements, designing software solutions, and developing new software capabilities.
  • Experience debugging, testing, and integrating software into operational environments.
  • Experience designing or implementing complex database interfaces and data repository queries.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting offensive cyber operations or cyber mission systems.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies and DevSecOps practices.
  • Experience with Git, Jira, Confluence, or similar development tools.
  • Experience with relational or NoSQL database technologies.
  • Experience supporting Intelligence Community or Department of Defense mission systems


Salary Range

USD $125,000.00 - USD $200,000.00 /Yr.

The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
