Department:Spirit Squad Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties:Responsible for the coaching, training, recruiting and handling aspects for the Razorback Mascot program. Organization of weekly practice, team meetings and team building exercises. Attend all home football games, assigned basketball and baseball games, as well as pep rallies, and other select events where the mascots are performing. Responsible for the care and maintenance of the mascot costumes and associated equipment that is provided by the spirit program. Schedule and maintain appearance requests on a weekly basis. Oversee the planning and coordination of tryouts. Effectively communicate with all team members throughout the season on matters such as performance, academics, personal growth, and various needs that may arise. Works in collaboration with the Director of Spirit Programs and Associate Athletics Director of Fan Engagement and Community Outreach as the mascot team plays a significant role both on campus and throughout the community and state of Arkansas. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
