Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities

  • Overtime Coordination & Administration:
    • Coordinate the process for filling overtime shifts for union jobs within the plant operations.
    • Ensure all overtime assignments and procedures comply with the terms and conditions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) with USW Local 7033.
    • Process, record, and maintain accurate records of all employee overtime hours for payroll and tracking purposes.
    • Assist in tracking and reporting of man-hours for the Annapolis plant.
  • Payroll Backup and Support:
    • Serve as a reliable backup for the Plant Accountant/primary payroll function, including data entry and preliminary verification of payroll information.
    • Assist with the processing of weekly and semi-monthly employee hour reports, ensuring data integrity for final submission.
    • Maintain confidential employee records related to hours worked, paid time off, and payroll deductions.
  • General Administrative Duties:
    • Provide general clerical and administrative support to the Plant Management team, including preparing correspondence, reports, and presentations.
    • Organize and maintain filing systems (both physical and electronic).
    • Manage office supplies inventory and place orders as needed.
    • Coordinate and schedule meetings for plant staff, including setting up conference calls and maintaining team calendars.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in an administrative or office support role, preferably in a manufacturing or plant environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with or knowledge of union contracts (CBA) and shift scheduling in a continuous operations environment.
  • Previous exposure to payroll systems or timekeeping software.
