Specialty Pharmacist

CPS, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a Specialty Pharmacist to provide personalized, high-touch support to patients with complex specialty disease states. In this role, you will help patients navigate their therapy journey, improve medication access, and achieve better clinical outcomes through education, engagement, and ongoing support.

You will serve as a trusted clinical resource for patients and healthcare providers while supporting specialty pharmacy operations, patient enrollment and retention, medication management, compliance activities, and clinical initiatives. This position is ideal for a pharmacist who enjoys patient interaction, clinical problem-solving, and working in a collaborative healthcare environment.

What you will do
  • Provide individualized support to patients with specialty medication needs
  • Enroll and retain patients throughout their therapy journey
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and patient care
  • Resolve drug-related issues and medication concerns
  • Educate patients and healthcare providers on specialty therapies
  • Coordinate clinical, operational, and billing-related projects
  • Support formulary management and regulatory compliance initiatives
  • Serve as a specialty medication subject matter expert
  • Conduct research and contribute to clinical writing and knowledge-sharing efforts
  • Help maximize patient access to specialty pharmacy services and therapies

What You'll Need
  • ACPE-accredited PharmD degree or BS in Pharmacy with recent pharmacist work experience
  • Active State of Mississippi pharmacist license in good standing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Valid Driver's License and access to reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications
  • MS Pharmacy and/or Board Certification
  • 1+ years of recent pharmacist experience (hospital setting preferred)

Compensation & Benefits Highlights
  • Salary range: $89,900 - $160,600 annually
    • Compensation is based on factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, and other job-related factors.
