Position Details Req ID req2236 Job Title DRIVER A - TOOLING LOGISTICS Division Corporate Shift First Shift Job Summary Job Summary Applies basic and some advanced technical skills and knowledge related to transport shipments between NORDAM Divisions, local vendors, and customers in the Tulsa area. Uses acquired knowledge of commercial driving regulations and area roads, and keep record of loads to be picked up and delivery details. Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities Safe operation of delivery vehicle. Loads/unloads shipments. Efficient route planning and execution. Maintains log of shipments, including shipper/consignee information and other shipment details. Ensures timely pickups and deliveries to NORDAM divisions, vendors, and customers. Refuels delivery truck. Maintains and ensures cleanliness of assigned equipment. Conducts daily inspection of truck, including tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water. Reports maintenance needs or mechanical failures to appropriate personnel. Performs other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classifications and departments other than the primary assignment. Minimum Qualifications Education Requirements Minimum High School or GED. At least 21 years of age. Minimum Other. Certification in forklift operation required If applicable, a combination of experience and training may be substituted for the education requirement. Experience Requirements 2 year(s) Moving large trucks within a confined area. year(s) Experience driving 24-26' straight box truck or larger truck/equipment. Skills and Competencies Must be able to read and write the English language and learn to interpret and comprehend company policies, procedures, safety instructions, work instructions, engineering specifications, Material Safety Data Sheets, and other like documents used in an aerospace manufacturing environment. Must be able to arrive at work on time, work on-site, and attend regularly. Excellent time management and prioritization skills Basic computer knowledge including using online mapping or GPS equipment, ability to use Must have experience with moving large trucks within a confined area Must have and maintain OK driver's license, CDL required. Knowledge of Tulsa and surrounding area Physical Requirements Physical Requirements Must be able to work in excess of eight (8) hours per day and five (5) days per week, if required. Additionally, those who work at NORDAM Repair Division must be able to ascend and descend stairs. The noise level in the work environment can vary from loud to a more moderate level. Supervision Supervision Works under general supervision. Work is reviewed for completion to quality standards and schedule requirements. May adapt techniques and tools to meet special needs with approval from management.
