Job Description

Pay: $28.00
Shift: Morning
Schedule:5 AM to 3 PM; Monday - Friday



Position Overview
The Set-Up Technician will be responsible for setting up and changing over bag-making equipment tosupport the production team. The Set-Up Technician will also be responsible for working with the maintenance teamto improve existing processes and repair techniques when no set-ups are in their scope of work for the day.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities



  • Conducts themself safely and courteously in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Efficiently communicates changeover and set-up issues promptly
  • Performs preventive maintenance routines on lines per HIPPO Tasks, tooling, and equipment related to the set-up process
  • Reviews batch order and Bag Spec to retrieve information for Set-Up.
  • Manages all changeovers and set-ups, adhering to and maintaining allotted times.
  • Collects and manages all SOC's
  • Adheres to KPI's set forth for changeovers
  • Removes tooling and inspects for damage.
  • Maintains tooling and machines; if required, generate a HIPPO WO.
  • Remove and install tooling and perform machine set-up.
  • Verify setup and set up samples for accuracy per customer specification.
  • Support Production Operators; achieve and maintain efficiency and quality of product and scrap yield
  • Other responsibilities and projects as assigned.

Manufacturing Plant. Climate-controlled.

Qualifications

Required:



  • High School Diploma.
  • 5+ years in a manufacturing environment, knowledge of food processing or packaging.
  • Ability to work safely and effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of electrical wiring, controls, PLC, and mechanical systems includingbearings, shafts, rollers, pneumatics.
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley Logix/Studio 5000 & Oracle WMS
